Our Awesome Niece Sadie Maughan

Our Beautiful and Awesome Niece, Sadie Maughan! (Yes I am bragging) We went to Dave's brothers house yesterday for Thanksgiving. It was allot of fun just eating and talking and eating some more! My 2 awesome nieces Sara and Sadie disappeared after dinner. I asked where they went, and someone said, oh I think they went to take a nap. Okay..not unusual after a big turkey dinner. Then later that night I finally found them and started chatting with them and after about 20 minute of idol chit chat, I asked Sadie how Hawaii was? She said it was awesome......meaning the beach was cool, the hotel was amazing! (they stayed in the Marriott). And that was about it. Then I asked her about the tournament. Well she said, it was good but they ended up losing. However, she then said; Oh I did make the second team all WAC! Which is a huge honor! She was the only player from Boise State to do so in about 10 years. We are very proud of her!!!! And I am especially jealous! Only 20 years old and she has been to Hawaii 4 times in the last 2 years. As for me.....not once!

I need to get a picture of her older sister Sara. She to is amazing, beautiful and is one of the nicest people you would meet. She is so fun to be around! She has the most beautiful singing voice. We need to really start encouraging her to audition for American Idol. And America's next top model. So Sara, if you read this. Get me a picture!
HONOLULU, Hawai’i – On Wednesday night the Western Athletic Conference released the 2008 all-conference volleyball teams with Boise State sophomore Sadie Maughan earning a spot on the second team. The team selections were based on the votes of the nine conference head coaches.

A 6-foot-4-inch middle blocker out of Murray, Utah, Maughan garnered her first career all-WAC honor and the first for the Broncos since the 2006 season.

A tough competitor at the net, Maughan leads the team in kills this season with 210, while also hitting a .278 percentage and a 2.16 per set average. She also has racked up 100 blocks, including 15 solo, to rank second on the team while also producing a 1.03 per set average.

Jamie Houston of Hawai’i was named the 2008 WAC Player of the Year while teammate Kanani Danielson was named WAC Freshman of the Year. New Mexico State head coach Mike Jordan was dubbed the 2008 WAC Coach of the Year by his peers.

The Broncos begin their first day of competition at the 2008 WAC tournament in Honolulu, Hawai’i. No. 7 seeded Boise State will face No. 2 and tournament host Hawai’i in a 10:30 p.m. (Mountain Time) match at the Stan Sheriff Center.

GO UTES!

Hey Buddy, watch where you are grabing! Isn't that a personal foul on # 9!
UTE'S 48 BYU 24
What great payback for last year!
The Utes are undefeated!!!! Poor Dave had to suffer watching the game at my parents house thanks to our "Big" screen that couldn't handle watching BYU lose to Utah! (JK) It is broken.
Dave, honey, there is always next year!

I Did It, I went to Twilight!

Okay, call me weired, but I just had to go see what all the big whoopla was about the book "Twilight" that has just about every Mormon woman going nuts along with all of the "Tweeners", which I happen to have one! So it was a great excuse to go and see it! I would have never gotten Dave to go to a "chick flick". And I really don't have any friends around here. So thank heavens the Lord sent me a girl! I may change what I just said...in about an hour. It was sold out at every theater with in 30 miles around here, but I did find 2 tickets for the 10:00 am showing on Saturday morning. Yep you heard me right! I actually got up and dressed to go to a movie at 10:oo am on a Saturday! I have never done that, and I don't plan on ever doing it again! But it was worth seeing what everyone was talking about, and so that I could be in the "loop" when Jaimie and her friends are talking about Edward and Jacob. I have to admit that after seeing it, I could understand why woman are going crazy. Darn it sucks to be old! Especialy since coming out of the theater there were masses of men headed over to the South Town Expo center to the big gun show! I had thoughts that I could use Jaimie as my excuse to go over there. Like....."I am looking for one big shot gun", like the one that Bella's dad had when Edward came to her house to meet her dad! That was awesome! However, I know absolutly nothing about guns, so I would have just looked like the big dorky mother that I am.

Jaimie and her friends learned the dance to "thriller" to wierd! I learned it when I was just about her age! She didn't believe me until I showed her pictures of me! And no you will not see my picture!

Jaimie was a bride from the cript! She went to a fun Halloween Party! It is a little wierd not having kids to take tricker treating!
Dallin just figured out there were girls in the next hot tub up from us!

Ahhh this is the life!

Jaimie in between hot tubs!

This was a very rare site. There was much fighting over this. Who got the bed and who slept on the floor. Well this is what ended up happening. They ended up in the same bed. But they made sure to "draw" a line! And Dallin would have never admited this had we not taken a picture! (Jaimie is in there somewhere)!

Okay, It was fall break here in Utah. Better known as "the deer hunt". And those of us that do not hunt, wonder what to do??? This year most of our friends and neighbors went to San Diego. To which we were extremely jealous. As we just LOVE San Diego and going to the beach. But thanks to the economy we had to stay around here. And at the very last minute, (Sunday afternoon) we decided to use some of Dave's marriott points and go stay in Park City, Utah.

We were able to stay at a hotel that is right on the mountain with a pool and 6 waterfall hot tubs that looks right out to the ski lift! It was so awesome! There were also tuns of things for the kids to do! One of our funnest trips and it was just for a day!
